Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: The '80 Campaign...

Interesting stuff regarding the '80 campaign. Speaking of, I think I recall having — somewhere in my childhood stuff — a green Carter campaign button. Is that stuff worth anything to collectors, etc.?

I don't see Hillary winning the presidency in '08. To be honest, I really don't see her being the Democrat nominee.

Yes. There's no way that Hillary will be the nom. No one really likes her. Just because her last name is Clinton doesn't mean that she's Bill. Now, if Bill ran as VP... Seriously though, who knows who the Dems or the Reps will throw up for '08. Right now, it looks like slim pickin's all around.
