Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

CNBC: GM Will Never Pay Back All The Money They Owe Taxpayers



CNBC's Phil LeBeaux on bailout money given to automakers from the Bush administration compared to that from the Obama administration: "This administration has made it very clear, Michelle, when they talk about the taxpayer being made whole. They're only talking about the money that this administration has extended to GM and to Chrysler. You can pretty much write off the money that was extended to them from the Bush administration. That's unfortunate for taxpayers, but that's the facts."
