Bully Pulpit

Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Christian Flag Fight Calms on Veterans Day

KING, NC (WGHP) — Despite all the controversy surrounding the Christian Flag at the King Veterans Memorial, many seemed to put their differences aside Thursday to just focus on the veterans themselves on Veterans day.

At noon, dozens were either attending a program to honor veterans or standing by the memorial to remember in silence. Not once during the program was the Christian Flag brought up.

The only reference to the Christian Flag was when two people sat on a bench to guard a Christian flag they set up on the edge of the memorial.
