Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Jennings' Death Forces New Look at 'Big 3'

I don't see the purpose of the "Big 3" having nightly newscasts anymore... With the 24/7 news channels and the internet, the news the "Big 3" reports is already old news... They should just allow the local news stations cover world news also; that's what they do on Fox 8 because Fox News doesn't have a nightly newscast on the regular Fox channel. Just my opinion. :-)
