Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

The BP now allows comments from registered users (again)

If you're a registered user of blogger.com, you can again post comments on the BP... However, if you post a comment, you have to leave your name & town if "you wish to opine." I don't want to see made-up names & such...
